Back-to-School Project

School Bags & Uniforms

Project Overview

At the beginning of every school year, children carry their bags and head to school with dreams and hopes for the future. Yet thousands of children in communities affected by wars and humanitarian crises begin their school year under very different circumstances, where financial hardship prevents them from accessing even the most basic school supplies.

For this reason, Wijdan Charity launched the Back-to-School Project to provide school bags, stationery, and school uniforms for children most in need, helping them begin their school year with dignity and confidence while easing the financial burden on their families.

What we provide is more than a school bag, stationery, or a uniform; it is a new beginning for a child who deserves to learn, dream, and move forward on the path of education.

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”
[Qur’an 20:114

Main Challenge

Humanitarian and economic crises force many families to prioritize essential living expenses over school supplies. As a result, many children are unable to begin the school year with the bags, stationery, or uniforms they need.
When this situation continues, children face greater challenges in attending school regularly, the risk of dropping out increases, and they may lose access to an educational environment that preserves their dignity and strengthens their confidence

Strategic Objectives

  • Enable children to begin the school year with dignity and stability.
  • Support continued access to education and reduce the risk of school dropout.
  • Ease the financial burden on affected families.
  • Promote education as a foundation for building individuals and communities.
  • Help raise an educated generation with better opportunities for a more stable future
